A brief your stylist can work with
Your result will include your choices, a suggested discussion direction, four trade-offs and three questions for your stylist.
This free plan uses editorial rules based on your answers. It is not AI photo analysis, a cutting prescription or a guarantee of the finished look. Confirm length, texture and growth patterns in person.

Bring a back-view reference as well as a front-view photo. The front-to-back length difference and the amount of graduation at the back are separate decisions, even when haircut names overlap. Point out the nape area you want covered and compare the profile in a neutral head position. This tool helps specify the silhouette; it does not calculate cutting angles or guarantee crown volume. Ask your stylist to adapt it to your growth pattern and natural texture.
How the result is decided
Each answer adds one explicit planning note. The headline prioritizes practical constraints such as tying hair back, avoiding heat or limited styling time. There is no hidden suitability percentage. Change an answer and generate again to compare.
Questions before you choose
Is a graduated bob the same as an A-line bob?
The labels can overlap in salon use. Discuss the front-to-back outline separately from the layering at the back, and confirm both with side and rear references.
Will graduation guarantee volume at my crown?
No. Back shaping is not a promise about crown lift. Natural growth, texture and styling affect the result; ask to see what is achievable with your own routine.
